Ms. Avonu Sale is the center Supervisor of the Patient Navigation Program under the Department TMC Care Syncytium at Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute since 2020. Ms. Sale has her background in Social work with specialization in Rural Urban Development and have also undergone advance Diploma course in Patient Navigation program from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. Ms. Sale is a Navigator with 3+ years of working experience as a member of the multidisciplinary care team in Oncology, providing compassionate and holistic care to patients, through unique models of care & coordination.

Ms. Sale has undergone 50 hour basic training program & internship in clinical psychology with Fobet and has interned with International NGOs like CUTS (Consumer Unity and Trust Society) - Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. She is associated with Family Planning Association of India (FPAI) - Kohima Branch, Nagaland and ROTTO SOTTO, Mumbai. Ms. Sale has 1 publication so far “Cancer care continuum at a tertiary care centre in India during the Covid-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown: Healthcare delivery through telemedicine” published by the National medical journal of India.
