Dr. Tridip Jyoti Borah, MBBS, MD, is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Anaesthesiology, Critical Care & Pain Medicine. He completed his MBBS from Assam Medical College,MD Anaesthesiology from Gauhati Medical College and Senior Residentship from NEIGRIHMS(North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences) ,Shillong.He was also previously working as an Assistant Professor in the NEIGRIHMS.He is also currently holding the administrative responsibilities as Officer in Charge of CSSD(Central Sterile Supply Department),Interventional Pain Clinic and CRS(Clinical Research Secretariat). He is actively involved in examining and evaluating patients in the pre anaesthetic check-up(PAC) Clinic, administering anaesthesia in surgical patients in the Operation theatre(OT),management of patients in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) as well providing academic lessons to OT technology students,CSSD students and Msc Nursing students.He is also trained in Palliative Medicine and is actively involved in interventional pain management procedures.He is also involved in administration of remote location anaesthesia( RT suite,CT,MRI suite etc).He also has BLS(Basic Life Support) and ACLS(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification under AHA(American Heart Association) and PALS(Paediatric Advanced Life Support) under Medtigo Health Education.He is also certified in Biomedical Research,Good Clinical Practice and Medical Education Technologies.He is a member of several national and regional societies including life membership of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists,Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine etc. and is currently serving as an Executive member in ISA Guwahati city branch.He has more than 25 publications in both national and international journals and serves as a reviewer in several regional,national and international journals.He has also authored 3 book chapters.He has several presentations in national and regional platforms.He is also currently working on several research projects in the institute in the fields of Anaesthesia,Critical Care and Pain Medicine.
