Dr. Anupam Das, Professor & HOD (I/C), Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care passed his MBBS from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital in 2002. After doing his MD in Anaesthesiology from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh in 2007, he completed his senior residency from PGI, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi in 2010. Dr. Das has worked in the field of Onco-Anaesthesiology for more than 13 years and has vast experience in management of all types of cancer patients. Under Dr. Das, the Institute has started the interventional pain clinic in 2019 which is catering to the long awaited need of cancer patients with intractable pain. Dr. Das has publications in reputed peer reviewed journals and has written chapters in various standard Textbooks of Oncology. Dr. Das is a life member of Indian Society of Anaesthesologists and Difficult Airway Association. He has served as the Joint secretary of Indian Society of Anaesthesologists, Guwahati City Branch from 2016 – 2019. Dr. Das is also a member of the Institute’s Scientific Committee.
