Dr. Yanpothung Yanthan, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology with more than two years of experience in the field. Prior to joining Dr. B Borooah Cancer Institute in March 2021, he completed his post graduate degree in Radiation Oncology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh.

Dr. Yanthan has 9 indexed publications to his credit. He has attended and presented papers at national and regional conferences. He has delivered scientific talks at various conferences as a faculty member. He is also a life member of AROI.

Dr. Yanthan actively participates in departmental academic activities, including radiation oncology post-graduate teaching and technologists and radiation physicist teaching programs.

Dr. Yanthan has completed training on “Good Clinical Practice” and the “Basic Course in Biomedical Research” conducted by ICMR. He has attended various workshops, including the “ESTRO-AROI Gynae Teaching Course” and “Stereotactic Radiosurgery & Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy Masterclass” at AIIMS Rishikesh. He has also completed the Certificate Course in Essentials of Palliative Care conducted by IAPC.

Besides routine clinical work, Dr. Yanthan is associated with other institutional academic and administrative activities.
