Dr. Duncan Khanikar, MD (Medicine) DM (Medical oncology) is presently the Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology, Dr BBCI, Guwahati, Assam. He obtained his DM degree from BJ Medical College (GCRI), Gujarat. He has a rich experience of handling both Solid and Hematological malignancies. He handles all the modalities of therapies pertaining to Medical Oncology, including conventional chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.

Dr. Duncan has undergone training on Bone Marrow Transplantation during his DM tenure as well as observership training in ACTREC, Mumbai under Dr Navin Khattry. Presently, he is part of the BMT team of Dr BBCI.

He has publications in both Solid and Hematological malignancies and is the author of the chapter on Breast Cancer in “Fundamentals in Gynecologic Malignancy” published by Springer International.

Dr. Duncan also has the experience of being a Principal Investigator in Clinical Drug Trials. A Phase IV clinical drug trial on Alpelisib in Metastatic Breast Cancer is presently undergoing patient enrolment under him.

Dr. Duncan has been a speaker in many national and regional conferences as faculty.

Dr. Duncan is associated with various Oncology associations namely AONEI, ESMO, ISMPO and ASCO.
