Dr. Geetanjali Barman is an experienced medical professional with over 15 years of experience in the field of Diagnostic Radiology. She has done her M.B.B.S and M.D ( in Radiology ) from Gauhati Medical College Assam. She has done three years of Senior Residentship from R.M.L Hospital , New Delhi. Presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute she has experience in various imaging modalities, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT) scan, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and Mammography. Dr Barman's knowledge in these areas has enabled her to diagnose a broad range of benign and malignant conditions.

In addition to her diagnostic skills, Dr Barman is also a researcher. She has authored three publications and two book chapters in indexed journals. Dr Barman is also working as the Co-Principal Investigator of a research project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), in collaboration with Tezpur University where she is actively involved in advancing medical knowledge and improving diagnostic outcomes to facilitate treatment and patient management.

As an active member of the academic community, Dr Barman participates in interdepartmental academic discussions at the institute. She is regulary engaged in teaching of M.D and other superspeciality students of the institute and has been working as thesis co- guide . She also dedicates herself to ongoing intradepartmental training courses for P.G. Radiography diploma students.

Dr. Barman is a life member of Indian Radiological Imaging Association She has attended many state and national level conferences and also panelled a number of academic sessions organized by various departments at the institute.
