Dr. Rajjyoti Das, is a Professor in the Dept. of Head & Neck Surgical Oncology at Dr. B.Borooah Cancer Institute. He has more than 22 years of experience in Head & Neck Oncology. He is a teacher for the MCh (Head & Neck Surgical Oncology) a three year structured MCI recognised course. His special interest is oral carcinoma, thyroid cancers, re-current Head & Neck cancers. A keen clinical researchers and has completed some research projects as Principle Investigator and Co. Principle Investigator under Department of Biotechnology,Govt.Of India.

He has authored more than 40 peer Review articles in National and International Journal. He has authored one chapter, Management of Carcinoma Larynx in the book “Principles and Practice of Oncology” and Co-Authored one chapter in Management of Hypo-pharyngeal Cancer in the book “Principles and Practice of Common Cancers”. He has also received “S. Kumar Award” and “S. Kumar Oration Award”.
 

Presently he is the member of several associations like ‘Foundation for Head & Neck Oncology’(FHNO)’, ‘Indian Society of Thyroid Surgeons(ISTS)’ ‘Indian Society of Surgical Oncology(ISO)’ and ‘Indian Red cross Society’, ‘North-East Branch Of Association Of Oto-Laryngologist of India(NEBAOI)’, ‘Association Of Oncologist of North-East India(AONEI)’. Presently he is also holding the post of Officer In- Charge, Human Resource(HR) in the Institute.
